About Me
- Melanie Wesa - Creative Edge Art Studio
- I graduated from Western Illinois University with an Art Education Degree and am a Certified Art Teacher. I have three boys 12,15 and 18 who are all artists in their own right. My dream has been to have my own studio where I can teach students way beyond what they can do in the public schools. I have a wonderful relationship with the art teachers in district 155 and 47 High Schools and Elementary, and am able to work with their curriculum if the student desires that. My studio is located at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park in Crystal Lake, IL next to the Dole Mansion. My lessons are based on individual needs and abilities. My goal is to help the student develop confidence in their artwork and a sense of their own technique through studying other artists. Artistic expression has many forms and I believe each individual has a unique ability to express themselves through their art.

Train Your Brain! Drawing Classes for the Fall!!
I'm excited to announce two drawing classes available to grades 5h -8th AND 9th- 12th beginning Monday, October 4th - December 20th. First session will be for younger grades and will run from 5PM-6:30PM and the other class will be for the high school students running from 7:00PM - 8:30PM. Sign up now and reserve your spot! This is a class which will cover how to draw by training your brain to see and think differently. It WILL change the way you see and improve the way you draw.
